Vineyards are categorised as Open By Appointment, Not Open to the Public, or Open for Sales and Tastings. Be sure to check whether you need to make an appointment, as a number of our vineyards are small and boutique and you may find the host out in the vineyard instead of at the cellar door.

Three Miners

Description:

Three Miners Vineyard is situated in Earnscleugh Valley half way between Alexandra and Clyde. The soil type is shallow Molyneux sandy loam with some stony sand.

The vineyard was established in 2000 by Jeff Price and Julie Mitchell when they planted 4 ha of Pinot Noir. In 2002, another 9 ha of Pinot Noir vines were planted and in 2003, Julie and Jeff planted 2 ha of Pinot Gris and 1 ha each of Riesling and Gewürztraminer. The last plantings were in 2007 and 2009 which added another hectare of Pinot Gris.
